...how on *earth* do you force a pushrod lump of iron to rev this high? Holy damn, son.
EDIT: Turns out it’s a totally stock bottom end. 3800s are just stupid durable.

I think the bigger question is “how long will it do it for?” Once or twice? Yeah, I can see that. Reliably? Lol, no.

Considering it’s ZZP, this thing is probably bored, destroked, lowered compression, totally forged internals, cams, etc.
These blocks are friggin bulletproof with ENORMOUS girdles and cross-bolted 4-bolt mains. People have made 10k RPM LS engines, so I don’t doubt it’s perfectly reliable.

Nice, I’ll have to take a look at it later. At work, so cannot into video.

“Sounds like a Supra” - every comment on that video. So that gives you some idea.

That thing sounds mad. I had a GP with a 3800. Everything else was shit but that engine was great.

I was totally not expecting that quality of sound. Sounds great!
Based 3800 is based.

I’m impressed, because 3800s usually sound like utter dogshit.

I personally think they’re really good looking cars

I agree. For a fat 90s car, they were pretty good looking. The design has aged fairly well.

Less fat than the GTO :D

That is true, and also quite shocking.

3800 is no joke, I had one in the Riviera. great engine. Same with 4.3 V-6 Gm made....

None of that makes it “stock bottom end”.

Note the “probably”. After writing that comment I was told more about this car and it turns out that it has a totally stock bottom end.

Is this the one that runs 8's?

I believe so. It’s the current 3800 record holder. For 1/4 time or HP, I don’t remember.
